July 2, 2024-July 8, 2024-Week 61-Loma Nueve

Hey what's up friends and family!!

Welp, one week in the true ghetto and slums of Panama. I honestly love it. Everyday I am walking in the streets and I can see the high rises of the city and the ocean and just miles and miles of slums. I really really like it and I am grateful to be back in the city!! It is so refreshing to have lots of members who are willing and ready to help us in the work, as well as who understand how to fulfill their callings.

My new comp is Hermana Bran. She is 23 and is from El Salvador, and she has three more weeks in the mission than me. I have 14 months today! Let's go! She is really kind and sweet, and she really just needed a companion to listen to her and help build her up. Before I even started this transfer, I felt really deep within me to just love her and to help her feel Christ's love. She has had a little bit of a harder mission and a harder life. I have spent a lot of time listening and praying. I think it might be my hardest transfer but if I let God prevail and do His will, I think God will make everything work together for my good. I have been focusing so much on the grace of Jesus Christ, and how He can give us the power to do ALL things, even things we would not be able to. I have really liked this talk recently --
Receiving Divine Assistance through the Grace of the Lord

I just want to add a little testament to the power of prayer! On Sunday, we passed by an hermana who was having troubles getting into her restaurant. We said a prayer, and she could enter in. Then, later that night some Hermanas from David came to stay the night with us for leadership conference tomorrow, and they were calling and calling and calling us, and we didn't hear any of the calls. I woke up, suddenly, one minute after the calls, called them back and said "welp I guess God woke me up" and they responded "we just finished praying". I know that God hears every prayer, and will eventually answer every prayer as well!
