This week the principle was restated and emphasized over and over in my mind: God loves our limitations and will never penalize us for our faults, weaknesses, and shortcomings. Here's two quick examples...
1) Gelatina helado
So after a long afternoon of walking around, trying to find people the part member families in our area, we sat down to eat some jello with ice cream, what a weird Panamanian combo?? Anyways, we sat down, resting from walking lots of hills in the Panama sun, and someone comes up to US! AND CONTACTS US! crazy. We get talking and she's a member, and no one else is in her family. God knows that we would be hungry, tired, a little discouraged but He also knew that we were devoted, and committed, and faithful. So He helped us out. And He always will.
2) Teen mom
So way back when I had 4 months I trained the amazing Hermana Lunt! Well once again, I am her hermana leader. We got to have an exchange this week. And wow!! Beauty from ashes. I remember crying a lot that transfer and being beyond stressed. And more than anything, I have always felt bad that I gave her a bad welcome to the mission and bad training. But seeing her and how much she has grown in the last 10 months shows me how much the Lord takes into account our limitations. He knew back then I barely knew how to be a missionary or how to speak Spanish and to trust in Him. But He knew I was trying. I see now that she has just BLOSSOMED. She is so diligent. Such a good contacter. Full of faith. A 10/10 missionary.
Moral of the story, when we give our life to God to be the author of our story, He makes so much more out of our lives than we ever could!!
